The HJC Hayden

I created a marketing campaign for a next generation motorcycle helmet. The product is named after Nicky Hayden, a professional motorcycle racer who tragically passed away in 2017. The helmet will feature new age features such as heads up display, GPS tracking, Bluetooth connectivity, a specifically created app, a full carbon fiber shell and a number of other features. This will be the first helmet of its kind in the motorcycle market. The shell will also be fully customizable. Customers can send in their own designs or select from a few preset designs created by the company. These feature a number of common sponsorships in the motorcycle industry such as Rockstar, Red Bull, Monster Energy are just a few of the possible options. Not only does this helmet feature a variety of different technology options, the overall goal of the helmet is to make the rider feel as safe as possible. Features such as a forward-facing road scanner and GPS tracking in case of an accident or emergency will further provide safety for the rider.
I elected to use a WordPress site to house the marketing campaign. By clicking on the main logo that says, “The Hayden”, the user can access a page that provides a list of the all the features as well as an explanation behind the idea of the helmet and a generic picture of the product. Next the home page feature offers welcome to the visitor, a brief explanation and a short video of the helmet with edited effects. Next the about page features in depth explanations of the features of the helmet accompanied by images showing the features. I edited these images in photoshop to detail where the components are how they function. One of the features is sound reducing padding. I used Adobe Audition to create a video comparing the sound of a motorcycle passing with and without the sound reducing technology. The final page is a contact page to request information about the product whether it be pricing, customization options, expected release dates and any other possible questions the consumers could have.
